Feedback on Van der Waals materials workshop

The Van der Waals materials workshop series serve to keep each other informed of the latest Swiss developments in this field, to create a place to discuss pressing scientific issues, and establish collaborations whenever beneficial. We bring together all interested groups working on Van der Waals materials – from crystal-growers, to spectroscopists, device-makers, and theorists.
After a first live meeting in January 2020, just before the start of the pandemic, the second Van der Waals meeting waited a while and was finally held online, on June 24, 2021. Five young speakers covered very different topics, and inspired lively discussions. There were up to 68 participants. An informal way of meeting online happened through a virtual corridor meeting.
We hope to be able to return to in-person meetings in Fribourg soon enough!
